"ONE PERSON'S TRASH IS ANOTHER PERSON'S TREASURE!"
Six Students from Ms. Carey's fifth period Symbols and Ethics class collected the wasted food from the garbage cans on the Carondelet campus. Here is their story: For two weeks at the beginning of class we collected wasted food from the trash bags in the cafeteria and outside. We put all of the collected wasted food in separate bags and weighed them everyday. We wanted to do this particular project in order to highlight the amount of food wasted by the students of Carondelet. We want each person to be aware that the food she or he throws away could have been used to feed impoverished and starving people all over the world.
