This event is run by the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The walk takes place in San Francisco on  the Embarcadaro. Basically, people can either do a 3k walk or a 3k run. This past year in 2008, 40 girls from Carondelet participated. Students paid five dollars for a pink breast cancer ribbon and the opportunity to wear jeans and a pink top. The proceeds went to the Lee Denim organization.

     I interviewed Maddie Kuptz who took part in this walk two years in a row. She thought this experience was really fun and a good way to raise money. She also got to met a lot of new people. Maddie plans to continue on this walk even after she graduates from Carondelet. Maddie said this was a sight-seeing walk because it was near the ocean.
